1. Introduction

In Short: This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. Your use of our Services constitutes agreement to this policy.

Welcome to DaggerAI ("we," "us," or "our"). We provide an AI-powered interview copilot designed to help you excel in professional interviews (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy is designed to inform you about how we collect, use, share, and protect your Personal Information when you visit our website, use our web application, or interact with our Services. "Personal Information" refers to any information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with a particular individual or household.

Your privacy and the security of your data are of critical importance to us. By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use our Services.

2. Information We Collect

In Short: We collect information you provide, data generated during your use of the service, and technical data from your device.

The types of information we collect depend on how you interact with us.

a. Information You Provide Directly to Us

  • Account and Contact Information: When you create an account, purchase credits, or sign up for a free trial, we collect information such as your name, email address, and password.
  • Professional and Application Data: To personalize the AI-generated responses, you may voluntarily upload your resume, cover letters, job descriptions, and information about the companies you are interviewing with. This can include sensitive details about your employment history, education, skills, and career goals.
  • Payment Information: When you make a purchase, our third-party payment processor, Stripe, collects and processes your payment details. We do not store or have direct access to your full credit card information.
  • User Communications: If you contact us for customer support or other inquiries, we retain a record of your communications, including your email address and the content of your messages, to resolve your issues.

Sensitive Information: We do not intentionally collect or require any "special categories of personal data" (such as information about race, ethnicity, religion, health, or sexual orientation). If you choose to include such information in the documents you upload (e.g., in your resume), you are providing it voluntarily, and it will be processed as part of the Service you requested.

b. Information Collected Automatically

  • Interview Session Data: To deliver our core service, we process data streams from your interview sessions in real-time. This includes:
    • Audio and Transcription Data: We process audio from your device's microphone to generate live transcripts of the interview conversation.
    • Screen-Share Data: For coding interview support, we may process visual data from your screen-share to analyze and help solve coding challenges.
  • Log and Usage Data: Our servers automatically log information when you access our Services. This includes your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, device identifiers, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, time spent on pages, and timestamps. We use your IP address specifically to enforce our daily free trial limits and to protect our systems from fraudulent activity.

3. How We Use Your Information

In Short: We use your data to provide the service, improve it, keep it secure, and communicate with you.

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To Provide, Operate, and Maintain Our Services: This includes creating and managing your account, facilitating live interview assistance, processing your credit purchases, and delivering customer support.
  • To Personalize and Improve Your Experience: We use your resume and job application data to tailor the AI's responses. We also analyze usage patterns to improve our platform's features and usability.
  • For Security, Safety, and Fraud Prevention: We use information, particularly your IP address, to protect our Services and users from fraud, abuse, and security threats.
  • To Communicate with You: We may send you important administrative messages, such as updates to our terms, security alerts, and support notifications.
  • To Comply with Legal and Regulatory Obligations: We may process your information to comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, and to enforce our legal rights.

5. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

In Short: We do not sell your data. We only share it with trusted partners who help us provide the service, or when legally required.

  • With Service Providers: We engage trusted third-party companies to perform services on our behalf (e.g., payment processing, cloud hosting, AI model provisioning, security services). These "Sub-processors" are contractually bound to protect your data. Our key service providers include Stripe, Cloudflare, and providers of GPT-4.1 large language models.
  • During a Business Transfer: If DaggerAI is involved in a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if we believe it is necessary to comply with a law, protect the safety of any person, address fraud or security issues, or protect our rights.

6. Data Security

In Short: We take security seriously but cannot guarantee 100% security.

We implement robust technical and organizational measures to protect your Personal Information, including data encryption and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We retain your Personal Information for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law. Generally, this means we keep your data as long as you have an active account. You can delete your resume and interview history at any time. IP addresses for trial management are kept only for the period necessary to enforce the daily limit (e.g., 24 hours).
